There is no eternal power, and every star life has an end. It burns, and it disappears.
That collection of “silence and hope” is in following of my experiences and emotions during a time of great upheaval and uncertainty in my home country in 2009, following the disputed presidential election and subsequent widespread protests and unrest throughout the country has started. The government’s brutal crackdown on dissenters led to a period of fear and intimidation, which is still continuing and causing many Iranians to be silenced. Of course many people are not calm, and now we know the new protests happening in the name of “woman, life, freedom” because of the great “Hope” in changing, the hope that we Iranian still have.
All these caused to name this collection “silence and hope.”
The current painting in this collection is called “Falling,” which is completely my own feelings during this tumultuous time, with its many ups and downs, and it also has a personal impact. In this sense whichever there is no eternal power, and every power has an end, it burns until it disappears.“Falling”
